WBTC is committed to increasing the diversity of candidates in the Wisconsin trades. We want our workforce to represent our diverse communities and cultures.

We believe innovation and finding new ways to solve challenges come from having and listening to diverse perspectives. We invite and encourage a broader group of talent to help us grow and evolve to meet the increasing demands and opportunities in our construction industries.

We are excited to share that our 15 member unions are taking the lead in fostering diversity and inclusion in our workforce. Throughout the state, there is a greater emphasis on apprenticeships and training to open doors and make trade careers more accessible for diverse candidates.

While the Wisconsin Building Trades Unions are the most diverse pool of construction workers in the state, we have a long way to go to fulfill our commitment and promise to women and communities of color to uplift them with rewarding, sustainable careers.

WBTC and its member unions strive to be active in bettering our communities, both professionally and personally. We know this takes an intentional and ongoing dedication to be respectful, inclusive, open to celebrating our differences and committed to continuously improve. We look forward to sharing this journey with our communities.
