Governor Evers Concurs – Ho-Chunk Nation Beloit Casino
MADISON – After much anticipation, the Wisconsin Building Trades Council would like to congratulate the Ho-Chunk Nation for Gov. Tony Evers’ announcement surrounding his concurrence with the United States Department of Interior’s decision that 32 acres of land in Beloit should be taken into trust by the federal government to develop a new Ho-Chunk Nation casino.
This project will bring a wide range of economic diversity and be a key feature for a region’s success. The Ho-Chunk Nation has worked with many levels of federal, state, and local governments to deliver direct and contiguous benefits for our futures.
The estimated $405 million entertainment venue is projected to create 1,200 permanent jobs and nearly 2,000 construction jobs.
The 40,000 hard-working members across the state look forward to participating in building and enjoying this inspiring, complex, and sustainable project for Wisconsin.
Our membership is incredibly thankful to the Ho-Chunk Nation for their perseverance and to Governor Tony Evers and the City of Beloit for delivering value to the residents of Wisconsin and members of the Ho-Chunk Nation.
